Spot The Difference

‘Spot the Ball’ was a slogan used to catch the eye, and encourage participants to discover the position of a football (not visible) by means of putting a cross where it was thought to be.

We had spots before our eyes on a recent Friday at the library in Lancaster. After our members meeting and quiz we decided to play dominoes. What started as a game between friends, became a tournament. This was participated in with good humour and much laughter. This was not an activity to discover how good or useless we were. It was, in a way, a confidence building activity. These times are really good for taking time to interact with each other, sharing and making new friends and sometimes re-establishing old friendships.

Why not come along and join us, we are a warm and friendly group? There is normally a member of staff on duty. If this isn’t the case, please talk to a volunteer. If the subject cannot be dealt with, the volunteer will put you in touch with the member of staff who can help. You can rest assured that data protection is of the highest importance.

So let us reach out a hand to you, and let us help to build your confidence and courage to cope with stresses of modern day life.

We meet at the library every Friday at 13.00 upstairs in the Sanctuary. Our fantastic well being worker Richard is normally around to meet and greet with his friendly smile. If you have any questions about our groups or service please call us on 01524 418308.
